[Friday, January 26, 2007] . ]

today i was sick again. actually yesterday the doc gave me an MC for today but i wanted to go work i really wanted to go work. i needed to give my primary ones ting xie which i postponed to today and i wanted to play games with my primary fours happily. but halfway through the second period i felt like puking up. argh. and doc gave me antibiotics. then in the end primary fours look quite sad after i sadly walk off to the canteen after their lesson which i struggled through. a few of them complained abt cheating during the game like telling each other the answer and i felt so bad cos i couldn't do anything abt it i was really not feeling good. i wanted to have a good time of playing with them but in the end i made them disappointed. i must say that a few of them are rather considerate. celine came and help me with my books. cai lyn help me to record scores and a few of them help me shout out the characters for the games. although they are rather noisy, sheng hui even taught me how to use the duster to quieten the class. haha. but they are all my little kids who are so considerate and understanding even at a young age. i m so proud of them. :) after that i took half a day's leave and i guess tonight's parents meeting i also cannot go. i was so so looking forward to taking attendance for 1.1 and talking to the parents cos the other time the P4 parents briefing only one talked to me. i donnoe why i love to go sch although its really tiring to get up so early but i enjoy my work. i love my kids and i feel the passion to teach and to teach well. i miss my little ones already. really wished i could give them ting xie. i oso can't go for worship practice later at hannah's house tooo:(
tomorrow's a special day. mum said i cant go out cos i'm sick but tomorrow is really so special to me. gong's really understanding that he's willing to come all the way to accompany me and spend our day together quietly at home. there's no lavish dinner or pretty dress and nice hairstyles i dream abt for this coming special occasion but nonetheless gong's right, as long as we spend it together, its already very meaningful :)

today's dar dar's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAR DAR!!
dar, u are so sweet haha. u actually sms me on ur birthday asking me when i m free for my birthday celebration. its ur birthday today dar, don think abt others , don think abt me yet. today is ur day!!!
hope u enjoyed the celebration yesterday, i really hope i was there. i m so sorry dar but nonetheless i hope u enjoyed urself and had a great celebration. ps: ur prezzie is still with me! :)

yesterday was not only dar dar's celebration but also an an's birthday. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY AN AN!!!

this week is my fourth week in mg. sigh time passes so fast!! i have to take a photo with eddie, joyce, esther, debo, jas, nadine so as to keep a memory of this period of work in mg. i didn't go school today cos i had a fever on sat night and yesterday. running nose, sorethroat and everything.

haiz. that's why i missed dar's celebration yesterday. duper sad cos zhenling and i planned everything together and in the end i couldn't go. mum and dad strongly objected to me going. argh. i wanted to know wat happened yesterday i wanted to know to join in to see my friends to chat to catch up!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! i wanted to celebrate my dar's birthday its so important lor and i cant be there. argh.

that's why today i'm not at work too. i didn't go school and rang up this morning to apply for leave. duper sad cos i kinda of miss my little ones and the primary fours. so cute u noe. they keep calling: " LIN LAO SHI!!!" shouting my name across corridors and in canteen, it wasn't embarrassing although it is kinda loud but it was really sweet to hear your name and your little students looking at you enthusiastically with a gleam in their eyes. At that moment, i felt so treasured as their teacher and it makes me wanna be spurred on to teach them to the best of my ability. when other teachers see them calling out to me so sweetly and close to their heart, they smiled at me like saying that i have done it, i have "captured their little hearts" and earned their respect. i love this feeling so much and i really wanna keep this always. my primary fours are really sweet too.last fri night was P3P4 parents' briefing at 6.30-8pm. some of my pri fours were there and when they saw me they said "hi lin lao shi!!" although there wasn't as much enthusiasm as my little ones but they have a blushful look but a yearning to call out to me at the same time. they are so cute. i talked to one P4 parent only and also saw katie's parents. katie is one cute little primary one. her sis is in primary four. she's so cute and i really think she's duper adorable. one day i wanna take pic with her. haha.

i wish pple wouldn't grow up so fast. like the other day i saw my buddy. she's already 15 and so so pretty. i cant imagine her so tall and gorgeous already when the other day i took her down to recess she was just primary one and i, primary five. time passes so fast. i wonder how my older buddy is doing. she should be 23 years old now i guess. wow!

[Monday, January 08, 2007] . ]

yay! my fourth day at work. a new monday of the week. had a tiring 8 periods straight for4 hours without resting. 1 and a half hours each for primary ones and one hour class for primary fours. hmmm. why do pri ones have more lessons i wonder. but i have a sore throat and when i swallow my saliva it was painful but i prayed over it and its ok now. Praise the Lord :) first day of work elaine, diane, beatrice came over then second day olie and nada came over. third day went out straight then today gerry, luddy and fang ting came over. aiyo they didn;'t come to pri staffroom to find me! humph! naughty gerry but i didn't reply her sms till very late cos i couldn't stop teaching from 7.30 to 11.30 mah. so cant blame her lar. she's coming again. yay! then this thurs fang is coming over :) oh yea thurs also meeting up with leifong yay! today i mark my first xi zi ben from 1.1 so cute all of them wrote a page full of "a" as in "ah" cos its hanyu pinyin mah. teaching them "a" "o" "e" continued tmr and also maybe introduce "i" "u" "v". hmmm tomorrow shall do xi zi and zuo ye in class too so that they can do some drawing. how abt the p4s? yup i shall let them listen to hao gong ming tape and also the zuo ye and zuo wen too. oh yea the other time hao gong ming on friday was quite cute cos i ask them to do a huo dong which is to draw a national flag as a group. somany creative ideas i must say. quite hard to pick up the winner. hee. kk. gtg plan for tmr's lesson :)

today's my first day in mg primary as a chinese relief teacher. The feeling of home is so familiar again.. strolling up the hill (although its my first time in 10 years doing that in the morning cos everytime daddy fetches me up and today my bro's late so i had to walk up the hill) as a teacher. i saw charmaine who was in ms tan maths tuition class doing duty as a trainee and i greeted mrs david and yes after that i went straight up to staff room. i opened the new fresh smelling room filled with the joy and laughter of cheerful teachers and walked proudly to my seat near the teacher's rest corner. cool. although its not so quiet cos everyone is walking by but the atmosphere was totally different from 10 years ago when i was in primary school. when i was young the staff room is a strict and teacher-filled place where rules have to be kept and must be guai. but now its such a warm friendly place i m beginning to love it. really hope to come back to teach in mg primary permanently. then after that i started to ask my senior teachers to guide me and then i had my first class pri1.4 at 8.35am.i waited in anticipation till 8.35 am and whispered a short prayer. excitedly i walked in and i saw many many parents outside the class. i was quite nervous cos if they are looking at me teach it'll be so embarrassing and i'll be duper shy. fortunately the form teacher kindly asked them to leave as they are not allowed to stay long then ms kah introduced me and i said tong xue men zao. they all replied in unison :" LIN LAO SHI ZAO AN!!" so cute!! haha. then we had some admin matters such as arranging them in height and giving them their seats while after that i collected their workbooks and double check with them if they had the necessary textbooks and excercise books. after that i went back for a free period in the staff room then my next class was pri 1.1. Mrs tay was this class' form teacher and we played games and sing songs together to bond the class. i stayed on longer to help out and it was fun to arrange them in their seats then we sorted them out in groups and pasted stickers on all their books. it was also a joy to see them off to their parents or school buses when school was almost over at 12.30 for them. then after that i went to pri 4.4. woah pri 4 was not really that talkative as i thought. cos throught out the day i was exposed to primary ones only so when i taught the primary fours they were more independent but talkative at the same time and were really really choosy abt class monitors and group colours and stuff so cute. After which i ended class at 1.05pm for them and gave them letters on the chinese creative writing class before they go.
Overall my day was lovely.

Thankyou to all senior lao shis who guided me all the way.
i also met up with elaine, beatrice and diane who came over to visit esther and joyce. wonder when debo will be back. Met up with ms jayanthi and mrs sharon chua, mrs julia chua, mrs kay and many more primary school teachers who taught me before. they keep telling me how old they feel when they see me cos it was almost ten years ago since i was taught by them some also told others hey! that's my student leh. so fast hor. going to 19 liao. yup time passes so fast yet slow at the same time as i enjoy my work in mg. i love the company of children and i cant wait for 6 years more too. :)
